Currently in D.C. — November 10, 2023: Rainy day alert! Get your umbrellas out

Plus, an all-new Currently Weather Service launches next week!

The weather, currently.

Rainy day

Ok, daylight savings and cloudy weather aren’t the best match. I feel like they took an extra hour of light yesterday! And today things aren’t looking better. The temperature will drop with a highest of 50°F and an overall windchill sensation in the 40s after noon. Also, get your umbrellas out because it will rain cats and dogs almost all day. Still, on Saturday things begin to clear up. The morning starts partly cloudy but the sun will come out around 2 in the afternoon, and the highest will be 59°F.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really starting to feel that the year is ending. That makes me a little nostalgic, but the words of Craig D. Lounsbrough comfort me: "We lose the precious sense that an end is only a beginning in disguise."

What you need to know, currently.

It’s my great honor to announce that we have a big announcement coming next week.

The new Currently Weather Service is designed to be a complete re-imagination of what a weather service can be in the era of climate change. For us, this launch is at the heart and soul of what we want to do and what we stand for: timely, accurate and easy to understand weather information for everyone, everywhere.

This is a project that’s been in development for months and we’re finally ready to share it with the world.

And I can’t wait to share it with you first, next week.

What you can do, currently.
